I have a 1991 cooper, have just bought a sort of new carburettor for it. Can anyone recommend someone or garage who will be able to do this for me? I also need a heater unit to be fitted, which ive been told is simple to fit, however dont want to risk it. thanks

Be warned if you take it to gerald he will charge top rate prices but he will be able to do just sit down when you get the bill. Give simon1275mpi a call think he works on peoples cars on the weekend when he is back from uni. I think he is called edge engineering. It only works out the back of hailsham but it will depend when he is back and if he has time.

Hello, welcome to the forum! What's up with the carb that's fitted? I'd recommend speaking to Gerald first to see if he can get you a price to sort it. Might not be a problem with the carb, maybe just needs a set-up. This makes a lot of sense:
"It is unwise to pay too much but it is worse to pay too little. When you pay too much you lose a little money....that is all. When you pay too little you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the things it was bought to do."
Post some pics up of your car, looked good at the last meet.

He'll be away til Monday now Get a quote first, but what he doesn't know about SUs isn't worth knowing. I upload my photos to Facebook, right click on the pic to copy the 'image address' and then paste the code in the insert pic option
