right i brought this of my brother inlaw a long time ago now and have salvaged many parts from it and it has sat begging for attention. So i have just sold the cooper for a huge profit to fund this project im looking to do a full bare metal rebuild. So if anyone can point me in the right direction of an acid dippers or blasters locally i would be greatfull. Over these next few months i should be doing this build with a difference. I will update as progress is made ;D

bloody hell martain, you sold that cooper but you got back and more for it. right before you get it blasted, build a garage or and find one, its getting to the time of the year where is rains and it will rust to bits right sussex blast in halisham www.sussexblastcleaning.co.uk/, itaking mine there they quted me £250 to blast it, they dont to the middles of the big panel, like rood and rear quaters and they will warp, but the do eveything else inside and out, they will also put some sort of rust pertection on it for a bit extra. tight git,( alister ) if you read his post he got his moke blasted in a place call badger? , up by lamberhurst somewhere, they quoted me alot more, www.surfaceprocessing.co.uk/index.htmlthey look very good, even dip the whole car in some sort of paint that gets into every hole, best done once all the body work is done. watch the videos, but hey will not be cheap, i bet around £800 or more. i getting the mk1 done once i have welded up everything, then having it acid etch, ready for paint, get yourself a good welder 130 turbo or bigger. i also found a place called adams gases, who do welding gas, for a £50 depost for the bottle then you pay for refills, no retail charge like BOC (£71 a year) bottles are smaller than boc, but i works out cheaper, they will deliver the gas or you can pick it up. 25.99 + vat for a refill, BOC for a slightly bigger bottle is £38 i add it to the list of recomemdations
