Hey Guys,
Any thoughts on what could be causing my cold start problems the car seems to take ages to start... you have to crank it with choke for about a minute then leave it for 2-3 mins then retry and eventually it will start... initially with no power but then after giving it some blips of the throttle it clears its throat and roars into life.
The Car has had: -
New Lucas Gold Coil New 8mm Rover Lead Set New NKG BP6ES Spark Plugs New Distributor Cap New Rotor Arm New Points New Condenser
Any thoughts on what to change / try to make it start easier from cold. It start fine when warm or if I remove the plugs and heat them up first.
Cheers N.

wrap a electic blanket round if for a while before you start it.
one thing i would do is to put electronic ignition on, you need it for tuned engines, also, do you know what type of dizzy you have, if there is any wear, as you are super charging your engine i would up date your dizzy , like a aldon,
just check everything, gaps , all cables running to and from the coil and dizzy, earths, battery power, maybe that second hand battery you bought, it maybe going dud

I am thinking about going for a new dizzy but I think that would need to be specifically setup for the engine spec so best to wait until it has the charger on it. The current one is a non vacume one. Any thoughts on what would be a good one?
I will have a look at the wireing loom and earths... battery is OK thought as it spends most of its time on trickle charge which gives starting a real boost.
