i got the old pre 85 type starter motor with seprat solinoid and im geting a mg metro engin witch is a pre engaged starter can i put my pre 85 starter motor in or do i have to use one with mg engin and if so how do i do the wires thx a turner

your have to use the on with the mg engine, and extend your remote solinod cables

Or fit a verto flywheel with an inertia (pre-verto) ring gear. It's the wrong way round though really, pre-engaged starter with pre-verto type clutch is the best combo. So just do what Dean said ;D ;D

sorted it the car should had the norm on it but thay had extended it so found all cabels pulled em back and sorted
can i put norm subframe in to a automatic mini

If you put a manual engine in a auto frame the spacers that you need to fit at the engine mounts need to be fitted between the engine and the mount not between the subframe and mount .
The overall size of the auto frame is bigger than the manual one around the front cross bar as the auto box is larger than the manual one . So extra room around the engine will be gained with the auto frame . Every little helps .

ok thank you so i got to move spacers round as i got them on sub frame got to get new ones any way as thay useing carb spacers in place
