your diff is good for 12" wheels like you have got, thats what the mg metro use. With much greater profile tyres! I had the 3.67 on the Duck for a while, didn't bother with the 1st gear in the end. Think you've a 3.1 Neil, check the spec!

Hey Si, I did check the spec and its not listed... I could have sworn it was a 3.44 as you commented it would suite my driving style of racing down the road but got going abouve 60 Oh well that engine is still a bit of a mnistery but it sure does go. Martin - Did you get it sorted yet N

no, ive got it booked at geralds on tuesday then gonna see what happens after that. I can understand he will improve it, like he has every time ive been, but dout he can sqeeze an extra 20 mph from it, unless my setting up is really that bad in which case i will return my new tool box to the shop and will purchase some more books on A series engines. ;D;D ;D ;D Or maybe just buy a new enging without the wife knowing. ;D ;D ;D I will let you know the outcome on tues after Geralds.

much better, how much of a gain did you get from using a hiff 44. bet it feels really pokey now. you dont need to do that, just get you speedo calibrated speedy cables can do it, you have to give them a few measurments but its all said on the website. www.speedycables.com/calibration.htmlvery good website have a look through it
