oh dear how many people have knocked a cam out running 1.5 rockers? if this was the case so would all the uprated valve springs. The grand prix edition has a high lift cam and 1.5 roller tipped as std and i havent heard of those failing i service one that is on 53000mls and have only had to replaced a gearbox from new. coil binding is when the lift is to great for the area of compression of the spring, if this happens any good engine builder can mill the seat under the spring if you do have coil binding you will know it. will break your rocker or spring check the space between the coils and if you know the lift of the cam it can be worked out.

C-AHT438 sorry these are now sold new they are 310 pounds they were the full rollers have a set of roller tipped for 110 can try before you buy

just bought the latest mini magazine and keith calver is doing a very nice 6 PAGE tech section on 1.5 rockers , going into great detail ,tests etc etc.
must get

I have decided to leave it as is for the moment so I can see the difference of the supercharger fisrt. just need to wait for some wamer weather to get spannering. 1.5's may follow after that  N  |
