Probably a return spring problem as you have been playing about with your carbs bud ? not enough tension on the return to settle the carb butterfly back to idle , n/b cable SHOULD NOT be left taught and should have haynes prescribed slack on it. Or could be a worn butterfly spindle which lets the spindle move latterally in its seating thus does not close properly making more air go to the engine with fuel, the point where you put your foot under the pedal then jiggles the mechanism enough to re seat it in the centre of the carb apparture, easily solved by repair kit or bigger spring !! ;D

I had this happen before turned out to be a fraying throttle cable. one of the stands of wire insidfe had snapped. N
