the only way to get it set up is on the rollers at gerald dales, you proberly have the wrong needles, timing and mixture for your engine
book it in and get him to set it up properly, on saturday he will only be seeing what power it has not setting it up
you will do more harm than good driving it around when it does not run right

unless you have a VERY BIG bank account to buy all the proper equipment and have years to learn off some old expert,
then
its best to take it to gerald dales it NEEDS to be set up on the rolling road which is not something you normal have at home, he knows his stuff he builds and raced minis for years and years and years,

Hm, see what its like on the rolling road, you maybe lucky to have some good balanced carbs and correct needles.... and the correct dizzy advance, dizzy curve, piston springs, piston dampener, tappet clearance, valve seating, cylinder head, cam, engine, car, credit card, house and plot to take over the world. So my point, if it drives good, no flat spots, no pinking, no over heating, not 'running on' when turned off and good fuel economy... then its about right. Else after a mod, at least a dyno run will confirm what needs to be done from expirienced hands. Have fun Saturday!

tony tony tony its all good advice from people who have tried and still have to resort to experts of course you can tinker but you must realise you need diagnostics otherwise you will never get it spot on
