what condition are they in? if they are worn you will never get them set up right, you can buy rebuild kits at about £60, but also check the spindle play, if there is too much you will have to get them rebushed. what size twin carbs are they and were did you get the from and what car were they on? fitting them can be a bit fiddley but you will have to get them set up and balanced with gerald as its not something you can really do at home without the proper tools gerald will proberly fit them for you if you ask, and maybe rebuild them but thats something your have to ask gerald.

What state of tune is your 1275 in I have a good set of twin 1 1/4's that I wanted to fit to my 1275 but was told not to bother with then on a 1275 just go with a single 1 3/4. I thought you really needed twin 1 1/2s Would the 1 1/4's be any good on that engine in my pickup? N

twin 1. 1/4 will work fine up to mild tune 1275, but you get the most out of a 1275 get single 1.3/4 hiff
for higher tuned 1275 twin 1. 1/2 or single 1. 3/4
but as tony only has a 998 with a 1275 head the twin carbs will work fine. but like i said make sure they atre not worn
