Tick over problem

A mate of mine from the racing i do has a 998 mini that he races and has the follwing problem;
'after last meetings little crash i took the engine n subframe out to straighten the body,put it all back together and now it starts when cold but cuts out when warm and wont re start!it ran fine before,weve replaced the dizzy cap n rotor arm,checked the plugs n points gap,theres spark etc but no go............anyone got any ideas before i do it some damage with a big hammer?!!!!!'

try changing the rotor arm back for the old one, as there are some dodgy chinese copies on the market.

Sorted.

It was a problem with the carb, the jet had bent inside!

Jim, i'm not his mechanic, so he has no worries there lol
