Finally, today I managed to take him for a very quick run down the road and back.

It turned out not to be a clutch problem after all, but thanks to all those who gave me help and advice.

The problem was actually a very worn drive flange

Here is the nice shiny new one with new CV joint too

Huge thanks to my two personal shoppers - they got me a real bargain at IMM ;D ;D ;D

Tony gave him the name 'arris as he said the car was a pain in the 'arris

- or was he referring to me?

Answers on a postcard to........

I have a list of jobs to do before he can go for an MOT and then start the task of making him look like a proper advantage again ;D

Hi all

I thought I would take a leaf out of Dean's book and do a little bit to my Advantage every day ;D

It's coming along very slowly and there is still loads to do

Thanks to Dave for assisting me with information, and even a magazine from 1987, to get the details right ;D

This is what it looked like when I decided it was time something was done

This needs replacing.....

As does the rear valence........

I have been practising my bodywork skills

and the front panel now looks like this........ not finished yet, but looking much better ;D

I am also in the process of tarting up some old black arches and the original wheel trims...

Thanks to Josie, I also have some new side strips which are in the painting process ;D

I have also bought an original interior from Ebay which was a bit of a bargain ;D

It's only in the car as it's the safest place to keep it, as the garage has a bit of a leak

This is what it looks like currently......

As you can see, there is still much to be done ;D
