first proper trip for victor he drove great only real issue was he overheated very quickly,seemed to hovver almost on red then back off to half way, on the wayy home being stuck in traffic barley moveing for about half hour he overheated and cut out. removed the thermostatto get going but lost about 3 litres of water through the overflow, replaced the rad cap at the show yesterday, about 50 miles or so checked water at petrol station and had lost 2 litres. checked again at rownhams a good hour later and needed about half a litre. no sign of any leaks so why am i boiling up and useing that much water, oil looks clean so think head gasket is ok, ideas please.. oh yeah he also fills up with water in the rain lol

an air lock in the system? Dodgy water pump?

was a new water pump.getting plenty of heat in heater, however there doesnt seem to be much pressure in the bottom hose.so i suppose ill drain and refill see what happens
