OK Guys, Whats the deal with all these rear wheel cylinders. I have just been looking on minispares and there are so many to choose from. The choices are: - 5/8" used from 1959-1967 3/4" used on all later models 9/16" used from 1959-1967 What ones are correct for my pickup with drums all round? Also what ones do I need when I fit my cooper S discs and spaced drums. Cheers Neil

you got to find the right one applicable to the single line system using disc brakes . gwc 1101 fits single line 'S' models .
all mk 1 2 and 3 s models ( disc braked models ) used a brake regulator valve ( at rear subframe ) that matched the 5/8 wheel cylinder bore . non s mk3 models to 78 had a 3/4 inch cylinder and a differant poundage weaker spring in the regulator .
if it helps , minispares do a adjustable regulator ms72
i know you have a pick up but you dont use it as such so for your application treat what you want for a saloon model.
got single line system and 7.9 (8.4 ) discs on mk1 , but cant remember which valve or cylinders i used . 5 years ago now.

I looked at Deans regulator on sunday . I will be using the 3/4 cylinders and same regulator on my current project for 2010.
