 Thought this thread had been locked for the sake of the forum Sorry Alice that you took my post the wrong way but if i must be honest it was no more than i expected  Try reading the post again and try to understand it before getting peed off and taking it personally.  The post was not aimed at you alone, but what a lot of people don't understand is that there is a lot that goes on behind the scenes to keep the club going and a lot of people give up their free time to do this. Apart from the odd few, the club is still being run by the same people that helped start the club, and i can assure you from personal experience this can be a thank less task. By all means ask questions, ask for help someone will answer, there are some very knowledgeable people on here so you cant go wrong. But maybe you will try to understand that help is also need to keep the club going ( give and take springs to mind ). Sorry if this seems long winded but i think its time for these things to be said.

just have to say i did see kate at stall at l2b, however everyone else from the stall was collecting well earned trophys,or supporting our club, as i was the only one in the stall, coz i was pooped.after a long day every mans dream for a young lady to appear and say "hi im alice in wonderland" sure i would have thought of something witty

Yeah someone locked the thread, so started a new one as I and many others love a bit of banter.  We've got to have a conclusion to this saga. Well moving this thread back onto topic... The car has a 'performance pancake air filter' and an LCB exhaust, a rather noisy setup. A rather significate reduction in the induction noise will be a standard HIF air box from a late carb mini with a K&N airfilter to retain the performance easy breathing filter. Still, some under carpet sound deadening would help. |

Just realised my name was used in vane in the old sound proofing post lol, 'Make a list of all your probs and questions and flatter your eye lashes at a meet , sure someone will help . Isnt Ant back from Uni now ?. Save you asking all the awkward questions on here then ' Cheeky git Dave but then again I'm back from uni so I will never say no to a young girl flattering their eye lashes at mine while asking for help plus dont mind getting my hands dirty hehe ... Just saying ask at a club meet Someone did make a comment thats why i included you ANT , cant think who or why now . We all get some stick . Oil and petrol were things I have been wound up in the past , cant think why tho  Had the mick taken cos i was wearing my bike gear at the club meet last night . I was on my bike btw It wasnt cos i had the gear on and no bike ;D |

Kate , all modern cars have good sound insulation so a good source of very cheap insulation would be from a modern car in a scrap yard .
Loads of modern cars for dismantling are up at Bridges Breakers on the A23 at Pease Pottage

maybe the soundproofing will hide the sound of your grinding clutch! only messing the car shop was really quick in getting my clutch 2 working days.thats if it comes to that

car shop is in winston crescent of of st anthonys rd paid 90 quid for complete set edmc member
