Thought i would just put two posts into one, so i dont become a post sleeper asking so many questions all the time First one....re-spraying the mini myself...just wanna re-do it black again as some of you have seen its got that nice marbel effect going on at the mo!! I was going to rub is down and prime it myself anyway if i did get it done properly just to cut down the price. Reacon that be a good idea to just do the whole thing myself? (i would obviously have some help!) Second one.....Wanted to keep my seats but i just wanted to change the colour of the piping from red to hot pink... Does anyone know any people who can do this? I did see a seat referber at the show sunday but was too tired to care about anything!!!

Buy a new car?
Respray, I did a roller job on the duck for under £100. But it did take six evening which most of the time was prep. Need to spend a couple more evening with some wet & dry to flat it, then polish for a good finish. Ooo and a coat of laqucer to seal and protect. Dont think will happen, bigger fish to fry.
Not sure about the seats. Talk to some traders at the next show you go to.

well if you do try to do it yourself good luck with the prep as it needs a lot. but black does hide a lot of things. i have all the tools here for painting compressor gun etc etc you can borrow but be warned spraying is not as easy as it looks let me no if you wish to borrow them i could drop it off martin

hiya the paint job is only as good as the preparation im afraid so mucho detail in the preparation and primer and more preparation going down to paper grades of at least 1200 grit then you can start to think about doing any colour coat and laquer. please remember this is a mistake many many people make , when you do the primer do not expose to the rain and elements as the primer coat is a very pourous coat and will soak uop anything like road grime oils and such like which would mean a defiante case of reaction in turn means removing it all and starting again . Seats there is a very resonable seat re-firbisher in hailsham they are in the industrial estate past the common pond , name of the business i think it was POLLY FACTOR they are in the phone book and they can rustle up a great deal for you .
hope this info is helpfull and wonder if you got your lock problem sorted ?
