Hi there, someone knocked into me a couple of months back (they didn't stop ) and knocked off the front bumper and slightly damaged the bumper lip the bumper bolts onto. Was just wondering to make the front panel bumperless is it as simple as grinding off the bumper lip and number plate brackets, smoothing it off with some filler once lip removed and re-spray!?! Ant

it an "L" shape lip which is spot welded to the bottom of your front panel
you could grind off the lip but you will still be left with the bit spot welded to your front panel
best to drill out the spot welds carefully with spot weld drills.but centre punch them first it helps alot.
and like you said fill sand, good rust protecting, and painting
the back is more complicated and alot of work involed
you an just buy a new lip from m- machine

Do as Dean says Ant .
The back is indeed more involved as the rear bumper lip consists of 3 panels (lower rear valance, boot floor and rear panel ) and will need some tidy seam welding and making good after .
