Looking back terrible idea!!

Hey everyone! ive been at uni for the past few months and my sister has been using my mini!!
Worst idea in my life! i got it back last night after asking the usual "have you been checking the oil?" "anything I should know about?" of course she answered yes to the oil and no to the anything i should know about!
Sure enough i check the oil when i get home and there is absolutely NONE in it whatsoever!!! checked the rad coolant and it looks like hot chocolate not the candy green liquid that was in it before!!!
Does this sound like the head gasket is on its way out to you and would replacing the coolant and giving it an oil and oil filter change be enough or should i send it to geralds and get a new head gasket???
any advice would be awesome cheers steve ;D

If you havent got any overheating problems or running problems then i would say the head gasket is fine.

The colour of the coolant will change as it it mixes up with sediment in the engine/rad/ pipes etc. but should only need changing every 2 years.

As always dont take my word on it but wait for more responses from other members.

like daz said if it runs fine , no power loss and no over heating its not going to be head gasket.

give it as good service,
oil change,
filter change,
flush out the coolant system, use anti freeze,

then see how it is, then let us know how it goes

;D Cheers everyone! I had to go to bournemouth yesterday morning because of work at uni!
This morning i flushed the coolant system out and put some fresh anti freeze in her, then did the oil filter and change, checked the air filter, ht leads and points on the dizzy and put some new plugs in!!
She now runs purfec and ive had a lesson well learned.......dnt let my sister anywhere near mine or anyone elses mini!!!!For the love of god if you see her just run away!!!! ;D
