Hi!! Just doing up my Mini city 1000 and got a bit of a problem... Most of the body work on my car has now been replace but need some help with the panel under the rear screen... There is a round rust hole in it.... My welder who is doing the work can not find a replacement panel and i have looked on the net and phoned around but no-one does a replacement panel for that section... All they suggest is to buy a replacement half back panel and that is big bucks... My welder mate said if any-one has a scrap mini, he can cut a section out and re-weld it on to mine... Can any-one please help or suggest an other Solution....

I may be able to help with one from a mini I've just chopped up.. See Project Autotester on the Mini Diary section of the forum. Are you at the meeting tonight?

Andy . Should of come down the workshop and spoken to me .
The part you want is not available seperately as a repair section . It is only available as a complete rear panel which means it is the panel from roof seam to rear bumper seam top to bottom and between both rear verticle body seams across. The whole back end .
So .... speak to Paulie and he will sort you out , if he says he has a good used panel , go for it .
