Ok gave them a clean, and took apart the middle thing, i think the springs lost a bit of its springyness.
After cleaning, it wasnt that dirty at all, she did decide to fire on 4ish!! so i think i can say its the Dizzy Cap.

SO.....does anyone have one i can buy off them tomorrow at eastbourne!. Lucas 45D.

I will see if I can get one at show tomorrow and perhaps drop off on way back home at eastbourne or take to meet mon.If you are at eastbourne show sun get Si or paul to give me a bell and can take from there.

We have an old one as a spare which was working fine when it came off the car. You can have that. Wanted to get a new one for spares at some point anyway.

If it's any use we have a Unipart just up the road for future reference, not open Sundays though.

Yes, bright and early... well early at least.

As I said it's an old one and it's always in the back of the car so no trouble. If Jim manages to get one you may even get a new one delivered too?!
