Yup no doubt !! Not having my alloys though, so if anyone has got a set of 4 12" wheels and tyres I can have/buy off them to replace them so if it is written off wont loss my £450 alloys!?! Ant

Oh no Ant! How much is you insurance valued for? It might be worth letting them take the car (minus a few good bits and as you said the wheels. Get that tax disk in for a refund and drain the tank of fuel to!) It would take about £900 to repair it, and if the shell is deformed just let it go. Sometimes they'll let you buy it back. I've dont heard to that happening much At the end of the day, she bashed into you and you want £1500 from her insurance to buy another similar condition mini (JUST DONT GET IT FROM EBAY!!!)

you have to buy it back, even if you strip it for parts.
or straighten up the steering and suspention, flip front it , you can buy good a panels and repair scuttle panels and door hinge panels and get it back on the road!!!!
its only front end damage, people buy minis with bad rot and more work to do than that,
keep minis on the road,

Ouch, hope you got witnesses, the insurance companies always seem to dispute it these days even if it was blatantly obviously the other persons fault. They will try and make it go 50/50 to save themselves money. try and buy it back, hopefully the damage won't go back into the shell. Flip front fairly easy to do, the worst bit of damage looks like the scuttle. Even if the subframe is bent thats easy too, saw two front subframes go for 99p last week on ebay, fairly local too. Good luck..

oh crap. bearing in mind your age, I wouldnt recommend even claiming on your insurance, in the long run it will probably be cheaper to repair it than have to pay hiked up insurance for many years to come
