You willing to loose your mot licence , possibly your job and everything you can loose if you dont have a job because you let a car belonging to a complete stranger pass the mot when it should not have done and got caught ?
Im not .
I have been read my rights (which is virtually the same wording as a policeman uses when arresting you )by one of the VOSA officials because my MOT log in card was not locked away in the correct place . Serious business the MOT .
Glad Roger is ready .

just out of curiosity, why is it still called the MOT test and not the VOSA test as I thought the Ministry Of Transport was disbanded a while ago? john

Right, imm next weekend and list of jobs to do before 4am friday morning,
1. Tighten subframe mounts up, little bit loose 2. Re tighten wheel bearing to right torque setting, if becomes wobbly again a new hub will be needed. 3. sort the brakes out, as currently i dont have enough room to press pedal down further as floor tends to get in way. 4. check cv joints as i think i got a spilt one 5. re brakes check for leaks on cylinders etc. 6. service it if i get time, if not seems to b running fine at the moment
After imm will save some pennies and give him new gaskets and seals, and a full blown service.
Roger not used everyday now, as it is only a 12m walk to work

:(Hi all, After much thought, and lack of time and money roger will be coming off road at some point in the not too distant future. He still has some gremlins that need sorting out, not entirley sure what they be. I have a plan for him that could see him off road for a considerable amount of time. The plan i hear you ask, well when time and money allow this will happen:- Complete strip down to bear metal, replace rotten metal with new. complete new wiring loom overhaul all suspension/brakes/ subframes etc strip engine and rebuild it to a fast road/race 998 spec engine. brand new hood respray in same blue as i like it hehe. Also all the little things that will need replacing for new shiny bits etc. this will take time but have always said i would keep roger and the best way i can keep him is a complete resto. so please raise your glasses to roger and maybe we will see him back on the road within the next decade or so hehe. In the meen time i will be driving the official EDMC support motor otherwise known as a Vauxhall Zafira. Daz ;D

It is now official,
Roger is now sitting at my work place waiting for his transfer back to Eastbourne.
Still deciding on what to do with him on the rebuild front, will prob be pretty much what i have said already.
I will do 90% of the rebuild myself and will send other bits off/get people in to do the bits that i cant or wont do for example block and head skimming etc.
Watch this space for any updates
