Going right back to the first post i bought this of a mg enthuiast who was going to use it for his midget MG Midgets in-line engine , Mini transverse engine Differant cranks etc etc .

Its crazy to keep damaging boxes that are not designed to cope with big power.A dog box will be able to handle 200hp along with needle bearing drop gears and a diff are a must. Indeed. Trouble i had was a complete lack of funds so i just excepted the fact that i was gonna go through a few gearboxes over time. One lasted well over a year but another only about 6 months but it was costing me next to nothing, plus a few hours work, just to keep using standard boxes. To build a box capable of the power (or as capable as any a series box can ever be ) would have cost far more than i could have afforded. Unsuprisingly i did get bored of rebuilding gearboxes hence the far cheaper and more reliable move to K power ;D

Umm buy/build a dog box that will be able to handle 200hp or stick a 16v engine in. ;D

i do understand how people like alternate engines However. I want a mini not a v tec or a vauxhaul etc,the heart of my car needs to be an original,thats why i love the car for all of it not just a bit but all.
