hi guys and girls have got a problem with my 93 spi i had to repair an engine steady anchorage point on the bulkhead , i removed the brake servo and the frame and injection relay pack then the flame trap on the flywheel casing then the steady bar complete with the lower part of the brakcet which should of been part of the bulkhead eeerrrrm. with all this clear i unplugged the ecu and the alternator the procceeded to weld back the bracket and di grind the weld flat .sorted . reassembled it all hey presto starts and runs untill warm the refuses to idle smoothly and stops . repaeted the dismantling today suspecting a air leak and found the grommet in the servo which the brake vacume pipe pushes into has split so replaced that and reassembled it all again , fault still remains ? im wondering if tis coule be a beginning of head gasket failure , oh and by the way found she has a water leak too !! by the way have put it on diagnostics machine and says everything is within the usual perameters and working correctly with no fault codes . all sensors and elactricals are plugged in correctly. any body have any ideas ?? oh and by the way does anybody know where to get hold of the grommets that go into the servo air pipe hole ?? caffyns / partco /minisport / minispares all say cant get them discontinued !

That post covers everything then.
Shawn - Guess you have access to diagnostics. I watch to see if any error codes have been logged and also to register a key fob with alarm/ecu.

Shawn, I have a uprated SPi rad in my mk1. Bought in from Brighton radiators next to the Parker Pen factory entrance in Newhaven , sure you know them anyway. Speak to Shawn down there , tell him I sent you (mention Fairlight) and tell him what you want. D
