ok , Have got a new subframe , not 100% sure its wet , but think it is. Wanted to put it under pick up to move it round garage , although cannot actually bolt it in because the front mounts in the shell are to weak due to big big holes soI have no subframe mounts fitted and the shell is just sitting on the frame. All the radius arm / camber brackets I have ever come across are all the same thickness where the 4 bolt holes are to attatch the bracket to the subframe. 2 bolt upwards and 2 horizontally, dont they. OK so far Right , the top outer bolt hole on the brackets I have are thicker, basically it looks like a cube almost the size of a dice has been welded to it with a hole in the middle. Requiring a longer bolt than the other 3 to go through the bracket into the subframe . Are the top fixings on your hydro cars similar ?
Also , when it comes to fitting the rubber doughnut you just place it over the locating ring on the subframe dont you . Not on mine, the doughnuts do not fit over the ring, the ring is a differant size. The ring is slightly wider between the top and bottom than it is across from left to right which looks normal . The doughnut looks like it will fit but the very slight ovality of the ring stops this , would need a slight mod to get a doughnut to fit. Any thoughts ? Will ry and get down to you .

blimey ........ im feeling a bit thick at the mo suffering from inherited flu from daughter but it sounds a bit complicated i dont know much about wet systems , but i thaught they didnt do much modding because of the extra costing in setting up the machinery like other stuff ,making most bits compatible or as close to it as poss ? ill have to go on a learning curve with you i think !! all i have is a good workshop manual but as you know the book isnt as good as the real thing . r u clubbing , got room for us lot or is it my turn ?

done it , dr , its got no brackets on it , pressuming it is a wet frame, it was identical to dry except the locating ring for the metal part of the rubber spring/doughnut , modified the small section required on locating ring for the rubber spring and it all measures up ,goes together beautifully. Radius arms the lot . Dave PS good luck with the pipes , I had a pair of complete used hydro subframes , displacers held pressure and the donor car sat level , offered them free for collection , threw them in the skip in the end, no takers .
Got a 1969 850 or is it a 1000cc complete engine with dynamo, carb , coil etc, if you know anyone who wants one its quite unusual as it has a remote gearchange and not the magic wand.
