doe's anybody know a way monkey jim of fitting a pickup sensor on 998 mini, gauge is smith electric, to show oil pressure, have managed to do oil temp in sump plug,

i would think if you have a oil pressure sender the thing to do would be to remove the oil pressure switch and put the sender for the new gauge in there . Might find you need a adaptor from the thread in the block to the one on the sender . Although being Smiths you should not have a problem.If the other gauge has been wired up you should have no problem with this one either. I take it this gauge is going in a mini with the dah pod in front of the driver . If you need further bits or info I believe speedy cables are marketing Smiths gauges these days they have a web site not sure of the address though, speedycables.co.uk or .com I should think. Must admit to not being very interested in electrics as I am colourblind and never had the inclination as a result. However I did manage to fit the new wiring loom in the mk1 ok , got it checked first before connecting the battery. d

thanks a lot for that, i am doing it for someone, i bloody hate electrics still he got them for free so he wants them fitted, on another not been offered cooper swpi needs front wing front panel & a couple of other bits, cat B right off, if i repair do i take for mot? then vosa, and keep reg or what happens?
