hi guys , the tow bar peeps would of changed the little box due to the expected increase in additional wattage on the indicators used in the trailor or light board , this is quite likely to be an electronic one if a "proper job "( reference to scrapheap challenge lol) was done .
if not and it still looks like a little metal can with two connectors it may of had a bit of a meltdown last time you towed something!!! this would without a doubt effect the way they work (or dont !).
the electronic ones arent so fussy on the loading , but the origional metal ones are and they are clearly marked on the can , two types 4 x 21 watts ( old style minis without side repeaters.
and 4 x 21 +5 watts for the later ones with side repeaters
hazards again are specific to the amount of bulbs in the circuit alas two types .
hope this helps and uncovers some of the signalls mysterys .
