Try Metalform, Courtlands Road Industrial Estate. They do laser/water jet cutting. Great job so far, enjoying this one, I am always contemplating which non A series to put into my GT shell, it's good to see something a bit different.. My choice would be a 205GTI 1.9 lump, but I think they are too tall, I want in excess of 120Bhp if I have to make all that effort!! Thanks fort that,I'll check them out when I get time.

Well people, after a year of being Miniless I have now been offered another FREE Mini shell with a few bits, the modded front subframe and Punto engine are still sitting in my garage so I may be rejoining the fold. Whatch this space. Happy christmas-New Year and all that.

what condition is this free shell in !!!! The shell isn't to shabby,it needs the usual Mini inner/outer sill, door step and heel board repairs and the front inner & outer wings and front panel putting back on as a previous owner has chopped them off for a fiberglass front. The back edge of the boot floor has been replaced but needs tidying inside and the rear valance has been deseamed. First on the list of mods is to tub the back arches (we're going low) remove the rear pockets and rear seat edge(to make a weld in roll cage install easier) and then work my way forward. On the engine front I've found out that Bogg Brothers have previously made inlet manifolds to mount bike carbs on a Punto engine and having tried and failed to make my own manifold this will be an easier but more expensive option. I'm not rushing this one and there are no plans for it to be ready for the IMM.
