there is alot of talk on the mk1 performace website about the car
and the good old the sun newspaper have twisted the trurth about the car , which the owner was not very happy about
its also on ebay at a buy it now price of £12,000

No. He bought it last year for £11,500 taken the engine and front subframe out then stopped, so he has only put the price up £500
It was repaired at some point but paying £12,000 for a car in this state, is only because of it being like this.
It's not in a state that it could just be mot,ed, it's a full resto £10,000 + job. Then the car you bought for £12,000 being unrestored is no more and it will never be worth £22,000 +.
This is the problem the current owner has. So it's why he is selling it on for someone else to do what they want.
I would rather buy a very nice mint cooper for that money ( if I ever had it burning a hole in my pocket)
