not really on james  don,t apply for membership next year it will not be renewed we all try to help each other as much as we can at edmc just like Niel tryed to help you by giving you this shell free then you go and sell it for profit unless you plan on giving niel some of the Profit? can,t see this happening your forum account will be deleted in 7 days sorry this has happened niel Matt chairman |

I think thats a bit strong. Honestly I'm not fussed about this and i have no issues with James. lifes to short to worrie about these things. I gave it away so can't get upset about it now.

This wasn't just my decision there was quit a few members who Were not happy with this
It was discussed and decided as a club
Sorry but a lot of people are not happy with people taking from the club and putting nothing back
At the end of the day it's a members club if members don,t put something into the club and only take from it there won,t be a club

Ok understood re the club descision
If the new owner ever get this thing back on the road I will give them all the matching numbers rover service history that goes up to about 150k. I just hope someone someone does something positive with it

hey i would like to apologies for the up roar this has caused, i have spoke to neil explaining the situation, i am aware he gave me the shell for free and i inteneded on putting it back on the road however circumstances have changed and the shell was not viable for me to repair. thus i am trying to sell it to fund the better condition shell i have. i am trying to save 2 mini's here my selling the cooper insted off scrapping it and the money will fund my mini project. once again apoligies for the uproar this has caused that was not inteneded

I think the point was that Neil could just as easily have put the shell on Ebay himself and made £130 for it, he was being altruistic by giving it away in the hope it would be restored locally. He had owned it for a long time and it had sentimental value to him. I appreciate it may have been too much work for you and you got hold of a more suitable shell, but I think you should have repeated the gesture and passed it on for free to someone.

Will be good to see this back on the road... I still have the service history and MOTs I think it may have been up to 150K! no wonder it was rusty.
