Ok here we go had this mini since 1984 but has been off road now for six years had sil to do but bit lazy as other minis took up my time but got a rollover spit form handling soluions last week which has made it possilbe to get on with so got on with stripping down the car forgot how much time it takes to get 40 year old nuts and bolts off but it is know on rollover will upload some pics soon ian

Hope you have some screw a mesh and concrete left dean yer cheers for that grant update on what happens when you chase rust with big tools and leave some bracing then get your m machine panel book out!

Glad your getting it back on the road . How old is the shell ? Like my mk1 shell which is 1960 I can see there is no recess round the rear screen . I assume its similar age to mine 60,61 .

A grinder with 1mm cutting wheel / wire cup /air chisel/Acid #8 will get rid of rusty metal! fat rubber on rear window! well most of week getting undersil and paint off gutty job but getting there so no pics yet ! But have found spec of engine built by me in 1990 to go in car Block over bored +60 3 ring slipper pistons lightened s rods EN40 crank cross drilled lightened & balanced 649 cam running belt drive kit lightened flywheel/steel backplate/AP paddle clutch longman head 37x31 polished &ported 1.5 Keith DOD Rockers Weber 45 DCOE /long early FJ alloy intake matched maniflow Cooper s box SC/CR 4 SYNCHRO 3.4 diff Gerrard Dale rollers Power:121 BHP@7050RPM AT Wheels:101 BHP Torque:98lb FT@5481 RPM Tested:98MPH 3rd Gear castrol Racing oil keeps it smelling nice ! done 16000 miles on this engine so just need a clean up !!!
