ok we have a twin webber set up on our redtop vaux engined mini ,has any one on here any experience on tuning these carbs? reason for asking is when the car was mot'd the emissions where way too high given the engine has recently been rebuilt and burns no oil ,i was wondering if this is a simple case or leaning off the fuel mixture owing to the past few adjustments having been made by people looking for a balanced induction as oposed to mixture economy and enviornmental concerns. i would like to know how to set the mixture without a gas analyser by rule of thumb process .

will the mot station not let you lean it off whilst its on the tester? maybe you could bung them a few extra notes for the time

I would bend southern carburettors ear Shawn , just like a SU they will need jetting and setting up to engine spec plus a dyno session . Other than the Webers on Matts Capri I do not know if there are any Webers in the club or anyone on here experianced to help.
