So the story goes something like this... down at mag motors at the weekend and I get introduced to one of Hayleys friends dads who says would I like a metro turbo setup... easy question that one... Yes I said and well basically he dropped it off at my house last night. Only problem is what to do with it and what are these sensor bits for I dont suppose anyone has a beginners guide to what all the pipes are for? I thought it was a simple conversion connect up the exhause and inlet + oil feed for the turbo and lower the CR but this thing seems to have pipes going everywhere. N

Give it a clean and stick it on ebay.....
Turbominis is a good site for info. Some of the pipes are Metro specific so you won't need everything. I can't remember what that plug does, but can see you have the fuel regulator there and both fuel pipes. I think it could be something to do with the ignition setup.

I'm not looking to pass it on and make a profit, I was actually thinking of sticking it on my old cooper you know the really rusty one thats been sitting under a cover for the last 3-4 years
Just looking for conversion parts now.

off the top of my head one of them might be an anti-run on valve, but you dont really need much of what comes with it, if its still got the standard metro turbo boost control module, junk it and get a manual boost controller to make things simpler, but as said above, get onto turbominis every question you have should be able to be awnsered on there... if you decide you dont want it, i'll have it oh and to ensure its a genuine turbo head there should be a 'T' stamped ontop of it

Yes the electrical part is a anti run on valve ,these were fitted to the some of the late eightees coopers and metro's of that time .It introduces air into the system when engine is turned off ,a bit like taking off the servo hose on a petrol engine just makes it keel over as mixture becomes too weak if memory serves me right .
