hi i have a mini city e 1000 and have noticed that when the clutch is depressed its very stiff is there something wrong or is it my imagination......can anyone explain this in more detail thanks pip

try rebleeding the clutch system, if it does not work replace the slave it sounds like that could be the problem, well thats the first thing it would be
like we always say, think simple first, dont go rushing into something its not

Disconnect the clutch arm from the push rod that goes into the slave cylinder by removing the split pin. Make sure the clutch arm and pivot are moving freely and are not sticking or seized . There will be a limited amount of movement even if all is free . Also make sure the clutch throw out plunger that goes into the clutch housing cover or 'wok' is also free. You may find you need to remove arm and throw out plunger to clean off , clean up with some emery cloth , lube up and refit . From memory It s just a question of removing 2 split pins and 2 clevis pins to remove . No de-adjusting of the clutch is required. Check out the manual if you are not sure.
