right not had a post one here about my bini but i thought i add one as it become quite amember of the club and been to many shows and evens, and now its over 2 years old and march is its first MOT
i start at the begining
i picked it up on the 1 March 2008 at 00:01 yes midnight, end of feb turning into 1st march.
went for a little drive then home to bed, but up early and went out for more driving.
its not been a bad car, does everything i want it to, gives me 41mpg around town and 60 mpg if i drive nicing on a run but normal around 50-55 mpg as i like to drive faster than 55-60 mph on a motorway. £120 tax for the year, tows the caravan, nice a comfy on long drives,
its now just done over 20.000 miles of fun driving, but it has had its problems
manly the windows, the 1 touch stops working, the windows will go up up come back down, and the alarm keeps randomly going off, but its been back to bmw 5-6 times and fingers crossed now they have had a few come it with the same problem they have come up with a proper fix.
its been to many shows, it first outing was brooklands back in march 08,
and since them its done
brookland 3 times
newquey 3 times
L2B, 1 on the run and twice on the club stand
many prom runs
pilgrimage run
minis on the wreck.
castle combe twice and went round the track
senlac
laughton
IMM09
and many many more.
its taken me and julie on many holidays down the new forest, and turned a lot of heads driving in to beaulieu towing a caravan, as many bini owns did not think it was possible, ha ha
my dad loves the casr and will find any reason to go for a drive, left it with him the other mouth so he sent off to postmouth to see his brother just to drive it.
but soon my daily drive A-B car will be left at home when it comes to show, as i will be using the mk1, ( if i ever get it finished)
and thanks to lisa , matt and family for naming it big red, many a radio call when we were in convoy. ha ha ha
