I think Simon at morspeed used to work for MED. apparently his work is top quality but he is usless when it comes to delivering on time (or at all sometimes). So as Dean says STAY AWAY!!!

Cheers Jim for the PM and Dave lol! Has anyone used or heard of 'Morspeed' product quality? Doing a fair amount of research and got a few idea's in my head.... Ant I have got a Morspeed box . I have had no trouble with the box , however Gerald did point out that the silicone the box was sealed up with was the cause of my oil pump failure on mk1 when he had it to put new adjustable duplex in and set timing . I had no issue with Morspee delivery , in fact I am still waiting for his courier to collect my old gearbox . Must be about 4 years ago I built that engine ;D Many many Years ago swiftune were responsible for building Minispares engines ( i think) . Something in there ads tallied with swiftunes ads and spec . Avoid Vmax as notoriously slow , Minisport , Minispeed as heard bad things about both of them , seen Minispeeds non engine work and certainly wouldnt trust them to do a engine . Morespeed are cheaper than Med plus Morspeed has rebuilt ex customer engines for sale on his site . My med was the lowest spec engine kit they did , which was a upgrade from the Mg Metro and to 1330 or 1340cc . Maybe you should get a good sensible spec short motor and re-built box -fit your head for the time being and maybe upgrade the head at a latter date . I can recommend Med . Gerald too . Sure all you want is a sensible spec and reliability . You wont need race valves , straight cut gears, turbos or superchargers . Mine does not have them , Jims does not have them and you know that we both chase Binis along the motorways between Eastbourne and Newquay ;D no problem . ;D
