Update ,well nearly done now interior fettled screens fitted and electrics organised on the flip front using a motorbike eleven way connector nice n neat ,check chains fitted to stop the inadvertant dropping of front when tilting it forward (would of liked to fit gas rams but didnt have the time to look around and find the right stuff !!) had a nice chrome and glass fog lamp i purchased for the clubby about 7 years ago so i used that which imho looks quite nice fitted ! , got a caqn of spray chrome and doshed it out to the seam covers and fitted them to the back of the car . All i need now is a front stainless bumper ,i have fitted the spotlights with an old grille using a pair of grille buttons once i had found a way of fitting the bonnet chrome bit to the grille without needing to use the fixings on the bonnet ,,,,,,,,,,,,,which is welded to the flip front . just a few things to do now Fit number plates fit rear shelf with 6 x 9 speakers adjust rear brakes fit bumper wash ,hoover and dust the car and give it a sprinz up . may need some tyres for the mot need a set of wiper arms and blades (watching set on fleabay) pics for those of you interested lol deep breath that all folks for now any way .......forgot to mention got to get carbon fibre laminate for dash and fit that with stereo and alarm system . so long til the next update ......................................................................................................................

i have a wooden dash i am going to use which has some real bad cracks and flaking parts of the laquer ,it looks like a laminate as it looks thicker than what one can spray on so im puzzled as to how to repair this or get it repaired by someone who knows how to do it ,the dash has a place where someone stuck a metal type run badge on it this hass distressed the laquerwork ,there is also a serious crack on the clocks face this is only as deep as the laquer but it looks like a wood crack but this seems to be ok behind the laquer. and there are some quite bad scratches al over really.well ive taken the plunge and followed instructions from the frost website not bothering with burr wallnut laminate ill be doing carbon fibre at the right price ? ok sorry it looks a bit fragmented as i havnt taken the pictures off the wanted section where i posted this any how i have taken delivery of the carbon fibre laminate and as it was raining today i decided to use workshop number two with special thanks to gemma ;D ;D ;D this product work really well i looked at the video on the companies website on how to use the laminate and then proceeded to job on first i traced round the dash on to the back of the material then trimmed it with a craft knife i layed the material on to the dash and rubbed it on using a hair dryer in places to sort out bubbles ,incidentally this stuff has micro fibre holes in it so it is easy to get rid of trapped wind (jim) then starting at one end i used the hair dryer and applied heat to get the edges of the detail edges and rebates streatched and stuck. first of all using the heat of the rubbing to establish the edges and slowly rubbing them over to stick . after completing this flat part of the job i then turned my attention to the door and the clock face which i didnt get any photo's of as this took quite a lot of time but the finished item ,,,,well almost i did take a couple of piccys of. the very last bit was to apply a bit more heat to the internal corners and air vent circles to make the material fit and stick . and last but certainly not least do you know where the off cuts went This stuff is obviously coooool as my youngun has got it on his bmx last but not least and un-ashamed plug of this stuff IMHO it is brilliant and suitable for interior and exterior it feels like thr real stuff with the weave and it looks like it too. see you next time on the next little job .

Hi Neil yes i had the letter back from dvla asking for garage letter but colour has been changed successfuly tho ill have to ponder the engine issue . now preparing for mot but i suspect it may fail on emissions as its a bit smokey so may be looking for another motor for it will have to see ,ill chuck some stop smoke in and try clean things up first .The engine requires a rebuild as its quite rattly i sorted out the tappets the other day but it still sounds like a bag of nails ,i just want to get this thing finished and out it asap really lol. ;D
