Ij37....Sorry it took a while to reply about rocker ratios. I didn't have the answer (too scientific for a mere mortal) but Keith Calver did. From an article on rockers:
"1.5 type .............. Use on full race small-bore only as extra lift/acceleration can out-strip available gas flow available causing power/torque loss."
Allegedly! But your experience disagrees, so the experts aren't always right! Cheers, M

right i'm back, carver was doing it on a race set up, when fitting a performance cam the extended lift and duration is done for you fitting 1.5 gives you 20% more which can be to much on a 998, but on a std cam the extra 20% of fuel air mix is a benefit combine this with a needle change and dizzy curve change, something i have found while on 998 for all the work involve never had much luck with a pocket block, just starting on a 998 build now +60 md276sc aldon dizzy wedged crank, if the person who cant make there mind up wants i have some 1.5 rockers here which i could fit and they could try and then tell us if it's better, if you fit a performance cam tappets are set to 15 thou if you fit 1.5 would you set to 12thou or 15 thou on a std cam?

might be a bit to much for you keeps smashing gearboxes putting it on 4sync s/c and then selling to much torque
