They never stop leeking oil.
I know what you mean about spending money on minis though... mine has a never ending list of jobs that need doing and at the end of the day it will never be perfect. but it will be good enough to enjoy and have fun. the thing is when you have had enough put it in the garage and come back to it when you are ready.

Unfortunately I dont think Gerald is particularly cheap . Used him myself and found that out . Love to know what his hourly labour rate is . Unfortunately he has to make a living like everyone else . My labour rate at work is £60 per hour + vat . Main dealers are a lot more .
Keep with it Martin , I know it looks like it will never get done but it will . My mk1 took 13 years before it was done . The one I am doing at the moment was painted in 2006 and its still not on the road . At least you are spending the money wisely and its on the basics of the car that are worn out such as suspension bushes rather than things the car does not need yet .. Get a good base vehicle together then modify it.
It will be fine in the end . ;D

£120 seems about right- would have taken a few hours to do that!

Had a good look over the mini today as i needed to replace a ball joint and i must say I'm felling a bit better about the price of my rubber seals as i noticed he has replaced both CV boots and greased every nipple but i still had 1 hand tight castle nut and still got a leak SO ITS GOING BACK
