Dear Committee & members alike,
Why do we need membership:
This post, which will also be in the next newsletter, is to explain & air the views of many.
Annual membership only costs £5.
Any associate member (who is someone that may be a passenger with you on a club event or cruise, (i.e. brother, sister, partner, friend etc)) will have to be registered along with the member at a cost of 50p for the year
[glow=red,2,300]The above prices are not much compared to other clubs.[/glow]
For this, the main important thing is that you are then covered all year at events & shows by EDMC public liability insurance - if not, then you would be putting the club & yourselves at risk
In addition to that, you also can receive newsletters via post of e-mail and other club benefits like advanced or discounted tickets.
Such as:
London to Brighton
Riviera Run
Booklands
Castle Combe
This is why we pay membership - it is unfair for those who pay membership, not to be able to get the benefits of what we do as a club.
If you are not intending to join as a member, then do not ask why you cant get tickets through the club or have a dig at any other issues.
The forum is still a free to all site, and we welcome all who come & go (as long as you thank those who may have helped you out in anyway shape or form)
There is a members only section, which members can access inorder to discuss club stand ideas & other club orientated subjects. If you are a member & dont know how to access this, contact a member of the committee with your valid membership number. The password will change each year.
There have been recent issues that has had to highlight the importance of membership again. If you are in any doubts, feel free to contact a committee member via e-mail or PM.
This again will be raised as a subject at the next club meeting
