Hiya, Right well i have had my new mini a few weeks and fave decided to make some changes, mainly to do the interior, styling on the outside, and Engine work. Here she is at purchase:         I think you can tell why im going to be doing the interior. Things to do: Bonnet StripesBonnet StrapsChrome Windscreen WipersWorks Spotlights Dixie horns (Maybe) Gearbox Refurb Engine clean up Unleaded Cylinder head, hopefully 12G295 New waterpump Oil Pump twin carbs Lightened Fly Wheel Clutch tidy up bulkhead Front Disk Conversion New Steering wheel New Dash New Seats Front Buckets, New rear seat covers new centre console Door Check StrapsNew Numberplates Over Riders New Sound System Refurb Rims Possible, 1293 engine Im going to be taking my time over this job as i dont have the money and university starts in a few weeks. So no mad tareget like the last project! |

Things ive done on the outside     I have also fitted bonnet straps now...photos to come BAD NEWS though Whilst replacing the water pump ive had a water pump bolt snap, so i might be doing some of the engine mods faster than i expected!! |

I might be able to help with the spot lights... I have the chrome ones off my cooper sitting in the garage along with a beefy home made bar. There not works but bloody big and bright. Well i think i might go for a retro Rally look!
those spots do look quite tempting, im gonna have to think (and save) hard!
im not really "Blinging" it up, just thinking of making her look more like a Mk1 than a 3. all the other interior mods wont be over the top, so the Bucket seats will probs be nice speedwells!

OK kinda a change of plan. Definitely still going for the Rally look, but she's coming off the road for the winter. for an engine change!!! That water pump bolt is well and truly undrillable from the side...so im starting to make plans on uoprating the 998! Im thinking.. Uprated CAM...Kent 12G295 Cylinder head Ultra light flighwheel. New Clutch Box Refurb with maybe some goodies! Twin SU HS2 with ram stacks. Duplex Timing Chain What you guys think of that? |

Sounds good to me, I have got a pair of twin HS2's sitting waiting to go onto my 998 but want to do the head at the same time so need to do abit more saving, hoping November time mine will be having those engine bits done ;D!! Ant |

Split the Head off the new block and moved it out of the car! pictures to follow at a later date. Not in the best condition, water ways rusted but definitely usable till i get other engined machined. GOT A NICE LITTLE GOODY  12G295 cooper Head!!! in good nick and Skimmed to 998 Compression Ratio! |
