Hey, how you doing guys (and girls)? The name's Jack Goble, was approached last night by Simon Ball while sitting outside a friend's house in Hailsham! I drive a '76 Mini 1000 (not mine, my Dad's), will post a picture or two on here as soon as possible - I'm at college at the moment so I can't post one now. Hopefully going to be taking part in the run down to Canterbury this year... Someone left a flyer under my windscreen wiper at college a couple of months ago. Anyways, hope to see some people around, may well come meet you guys up Langney Sports Club! Thanks, Jack. Edit: Found a picture!

Okay, that's cool. And may I ask how much it is to become a member of EDMC?

You may, and im pleased to tell you that it is a whopping £5 per year. Aso if you plan to take passengers, they will need to pay the vast sum of .50p per person as asociate members, then they also will be covered by the PLI. anything else yo would like to know? Best go to www.edmc.co.uk, then go to "club downloads" tab and click on "club constition", this is our rules and regs and should answer any questions you may have. if not ask away and we will give you an answer. cheers daz

Hi Jack, pleased you found the forum ;D
Guess I didn't scare you off :-)
Quite a few events going on in the club at the mo, check out our calender on the forum. Most things are not that expensive, in a couple of weekends time were off to a big show in Newquay! Camping, mini's and Newquay. Its been a great combination for the last few years ;D
Else see you for a drink at the next club meet. ;D

Wahay! Wondered if MiniNutter was you Si.... I'll take a look at that too heh. Newquay sounds rather fantastic to be honest, not quite sure if the Mini's up to show standard though! Pretty sure yours is though mate! I'll definately think about that though, depends if I can fit in (most likely not =( ) around work, revision and exams! I work saturday and sunday, so I most likely won't be able to come if it's over the weekend, and I have college all week... No fair!

Oh don't worry about show standards, you just got to look at Daz's (aka The Boss) string of previous cars.... he got the 'wreck on the wreck' award at the Brighton Mini Club show last year. I think the rat look is becoming fashionable any way ;D My motor has tin rot here and there anyway. Oh the boss has sorted his metal pedigree now Plenty of events, socials, rallies, cruises and parties to come ;D See you soon

Oh by the way I like your arch's. Any plans to cream cake up/modify your motor? You could easily bling your wheels with re-painting the gold. A can from Halfords and an afternnon Gold minilites look the bee knees against your green shell.

Aha! Thankyou! Umm not really any plans at the moment, only to rebuild the 1275 that was in there originally and get that back in there... But just some maintenance stuff which needs doing (for instance a bucket load of grease which needs to go in the grease points on the rear end, got some sqeaky dry joints going on right now =P). It's already been de-seamed, gas shocks all-round, a rear bar instead of a sub-frame and just had all the floor and door seals replaced (hence the red oxide running around the bottom of the car hahaha). Oh and a nifty straight-through racing type exhaust... But nothing special really.
