Can you believe it has taken me 1 week to get a bottom hose for a carburettored 1993 1275 auto .
Made a price and availabilty call to the Caffyns branch last wednesday. Gave chassis number and other details , such as non injected , auto , 1275 and the fact it had no expansion tank (mpi's)
After checking prices with Minispares etc I went back to Caffyns and ordred it from them.
I knew it would be a couple of days , so when it got to lunch time friday I callled Caffyns and asked where the hose was .
I was told by the parts guy that someone had phoned for a price only and not called back to order.
What a load of sh*t that was. I had made all enquiries and had called back and ordered it on a 2 day stock order .
I ordered again and the part was now expected Tuesday late morning .
Come 1pm Tuesday I phoned the branch and asked if the hose was on the van . I will check said the parts guy .
He comes back to me after a long time and his voice had certainly changed and he sounded nervous as he started waffling on about the fact it had not turned up because the Rover wagon had broken down in Dagenham , he was making it up as he went along . For starters there is no such thing as a Rover wagon , Rover do not exist .
After all that bull he told me it will definately be with me the next day , coarse it will . He forgot to order it and will now have to order it overnight on a VOR delivery .
I was not happy as I had to explain to my customer about the missing part .
At least the part was ordered and would be with me Wednesday ;D

Sent me a 96 onwards Mpi one
