Hi all
Some of you may already know, but I have been bullied by Tony into giving up smoking But to give him some credit, he is giving up too ;D ;D ;D
I had my last ciggie on Saturday night at 10.45pm. I slapped my mega-strength patch on my arm and tried to sleep ;D
I woke bright and early for work Sunday morning and found the patch to be working well, as I had no cravings at all ;D ;D ;D
The hardest part is breaking the habit of reaching for a pack of ciggies which aren't there...........oh, and also feeling that everytime I leave the house I have forgotten something
I have been a smoker since the age of 14 and would really like to quit for good ;D I have tried several times in the past, and my record is 5 days
To help give me an incentive Josie set up a "count-up" clock which tells me exactly how long I have been a non-smoker ;D
www.timeanddate.com/counters/customcounter.html?month=3&day=8&year=2008&hour=22&min=45&sec=00&p0=0
Now, it is your turn to give me a further incentive, make youself some money (maybe) and raise some money for the Pilgrimage fund ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
I am going to set up a sweepstake that you can all take part in
All you have to do is decide which date, between now and the Pilgrimage on Sunday, 29 June, you think I will succumb to the dreaded weed and break my new resolution
Let me know which date you wish to pick and I will collect £1 from you at the next meeting. Half the money raised will go to the winner and the other half to the Pilgrimage fund. The winner will be the person to correctly guess the date that I fail...........though if I am still a non-smoker by the Pilgrimage date then the Lee Spark NF Foundation wins and collects all the money ;D
So..........please support me and the Pilgrimage by pledging £1 and choosing the date that you think I will fail ;D I promise to be honest if I slip up and will try to do a daily update to let you know how my will-power is doing ;D
Thank you for reading and please, please, please, support me and the Pilgrimage ;D
