well, i did do a few heavy braking to make the ABS work. but now i have got used to the way they are, there still good and still stop me as they did, but that but lost that sharpness they had, ( but i may of got rid of some air from the pump) i have not re bled the brakes, as i paid for a garage to do them. so it would be a waste of money, but on the other hand i like to know if it works. but i have looked in to a pressured bleeding tool , bit like the eze bled that runs from a car tyre, one of these. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/390611508087?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649cable wise i did look at that one you posted, but i now have Macbook, and not a windows laptop, so i don't think it will work. and to have something like that you need to a laptop to do as much as they do at bmw. i don't think one if those handheld display cable things will do anything like that but i have now reset the brake pad wear sensor and also reset the brake fluid change date thing in the car, was a pain to get into the the main computer through the buttons in the the car but i got there in the end , got the car booked in for its last service on my tlc pack , in just under 2 weeks, other than that, wheel is still not done be i have been promised for this friday so i can get it back on the car.

just gone flicking around again, there are a few on amazon , at round £20-30
also on ebay there are loads, all seem to be the same in different colours and cases, there is one that plugs in and bluetooth to your iPhone and gives to all kind if data, bit like the scan gauge but at about £22.95
but there are loads for sale on there, cheap, its one of those things that never work as well as they say.

They only really give to the same info as a scan gauge for anything meaningful or to programme the car you need the BMW cable
I have a old laptop which I would keep for just this sort of task

finally got my wheel back from the sussex blast, where its been re powder coated, and now the tyre has been fitted and its back on the car, its taken weeks but we did have xmas and new year in the way
any how, my service light came on at the beginning of January, so i book it in with BMW as i have a TLC service package.
well today i took it down after work to drop it off for its service tomorrow.
first i find out that my TLC service package run out after 5 years, which i thought i get 3 services (every 2 years), which is up to 6 years, but nope. !!!!!
second they said i can up grade it to 8 years ( 2 more years cover) for another £275, no thank you
so third, as i now have to pay for an oil, oil filter and micofilter change i said how much will it be,
right this is the moment of your standing up to sit down
£270, i sure she said £270,
a slight break down £80 in oil, time 20 minutes work micro filter 2-3 minutes
they are having a laugh, lucky i replaced the oil and filter back in march 2013 as i did not like the smell of it, so its only 9 mounts old
it cost me £43 for oil £11 filter, crush washer, rubber seal £5 engine flush my time £0
total £59
i will just reset my service light, replace the pollen filter, then do a oil change again in march. to make sure everything is good.

Your not doing the milage to get the benefit out of the tlc pack Hayley lost her last service too but don't forget the 275 will do 1 major service and 1 minor service plus a break fluid change so its actually good value if you do the milage
Did you get your brakes fixed yet?

The brake fuild did not need doing. I reset the car till 2016. So when BMW plugged my key in to see want needs doing the brake fuild was not one on the list. Only oil and micro filter.
But yes. I don't do any where near the mileage needed to get 3 services out of the TLC pack.
Well the brakes are fine. I have not done any more to them. They stop me as good as they did. But I have lost the sharp pedal I had at the top. But I am now use to them the front pads have bed back in after being removed. Quick clean and refitted

My local dealer quoted £220 to change the oil and sump gasket - quite a big job.
