Thank you Shawn for your nice comments...........and confirming that I have indeed killed the gear selector cable ;D I can't believe that I have done it.........not quite finished yet..........but I have had loads of expert help and advice from many people ;D ;D ;D Made lots of mistakes along the way.........hopefully not to be repeated ;D Thanks to everyone I have annoyed by asking silly questions ;D and thanks to Daz for fitting one engine mount and putting the drive shafts back ;D ;D ;D Special thanks to Tony for having me interrupt his time by constantly whining and asking for help with stuff I couldn't work out for myself ;D ;D ;D

It would seem that my amateur mechanics have attracted the attention of the local authorities ;D ;D ;D We received a letter from our local council last week regarding the "Car repair business" being run from our home They even included a form for planning application, though did state in their letter that "it would be unlikely to be recommended for approval" A quick phone call explaining that it was a hobby and all cars were registered to our address sorted it all out ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I wish I were good enough to be considered a business as it would mean money coming in instead of going out ;D
