At last, I finally have myself a mini!
Its a 1985, 998 Mayfair with 29,000 miles on the clock. It also has full sliding sun-roof and chocolate interior. It has a few patches of surface rust which i hope to try and fix over the coming weeks. Mum says the front pannels and both wings will also need to be replaced, thats a job for the professionals i think! I will be keeping up a diary over the next few months while i carry out some work on it. Hopefully it will be ready by the time i finally get to start driving in November. I would like to thank Dave for finding me such a good first car. Here are a few pics

Started work in my mini ;D
Took bumpers and arches off first....this is what i found...

Next job was to go round with a wire brush and find all the big patches of rust....there was alot

Today started with a little DIY fibreglass session ;D ;D This quickly turned into a very messy job. I now no longer have any holes in the doors, just patches of fibreglass that need some more work
