No it's the smaller 45 litre version, about 9 gallons. The aim being to spread the weight evenly across the rear rather than having a hefty weight in the left rear quarter.

Gerald must get some prices up . How much is the tank? and from what I read it requires the battery to be relocated and fits perfectly in standard spare wheel well.

I have repositioned the wiper switch next to my seat as it was a pain not being able to reach it . Mk1 has original single speed wiper motor that do not have the park switch . Are you going to reach your switches ?

It's a bit form over function on that one- I can't reach them when strapped in. Being toggle switches I can flick them on with my foot though!
Petrol tanks are pricey but top quality. I'm going to write a fitting guide for MiniWorld soon.

Use the dash switches as dummies. Spur off the wiring connectors that go to them down to a purpose made switch panel. I have a alloy panel on top of the door pocket but at the moment the switches are located next to seat . I will make a panel up to go there over the winter. It is so much easier to use the switches when strapped in .
Go on, how much is the tank ?
I like the idea you do not need to chop out the boot floor for it.

Pretty sure I remember seeing their tanks in August miniworld hardware section, can't remember if they were £250/300! Defiantly worth it though - awesome build quality Ant

Finally got the doors, bonnet, bootlid and seam strips back from the paintshop so I can get it finished now. Great! So I've gone to fit the front windows to find they don't fit. Hmmmm, a trip to Bristol on Friday to the perspex window supplier to have them trimmed to suit the alloy-skinned doors. Also, had a weigh-in comparison with the old doors out of interest. Old door, completely stripped: 9.8kgs Glass window: 4.3kgs Regulator: 1.7kgs Total: 15.8kgs New door, completely bare: 5.8kgs Perspex window: 1.8kgs Total: 7.6kgs So a total saving of 16.4kgs / 36.2lbs overall. And that's before fitting the carbon door cards and alloy hinges.

It's about the same gauge as a steel skin, may be easier to dent but also easier to fix so time will tell on that. I haven't found the bloody thing yet, will give you the money back if I can't find it soon

Good weekend on the car - here's the Odessy battery install. You can mount these tiny race batteries on their side as low as possible in the car.

A whole day spent getting the drivers side door and window right. I'm not quite happy yet but it's close.
