I've picked up a whole new set of panels for the duckling front end now. Will try to cut off the old panels tomorrow. I'm looking forward to a bit of DIY welding. ;D

One rather sad looking mini..... Saturday... rain stops all work. I spent the morning moving bits in the garage.... untill Paul turned up all ready for flying sparks... SO its starts to rain even heavier!! A wing each and the job is almost done. We found way to much rot at the top of the N/S arch/bulkhead. So rather than rebuilding a full steel end and waste a load of good panels...... On goes the flip front! ;D Tonight... Check out my crumple zone... the N/S tie bar!! On go the brace bars Wires reorganised for a 6pole plug tomorrow. Then its just nuts and bolts, a dodgy MOT by Dave , then tax ;D

Borrowed some plugs from work today , thats the easy bit, so wired up the loom. All sorted at the car end, wired up the flip front plug, but with no lights fitted, its just a plug with wires flowing out still... Off she comes On she goes. ;D

Busy Busy Busy, And still full steam ahead. Friday night and Saturday got me reacquainted with my welder, and did we get on like a house on fire.... well old paint anyway!! ;D ;D Saturday morning saw Josie been dragged out to realign the 'a' with her boot to do the top weld. She quickly refused, forcing me to take it off and fit the panel correctly ;D With no meat on the hinge panel to fold the 'a' panel to, a weld was completed top and bottom. The welder threw a paddy resulting in a strip down of the handle and the a strip down of the welder. Then I ran out of wire. ;D The 'a' panel.... So just built up so weld in three placed the bridge the gap and secure the panel. Some mastic will fill the rest. Out came a can of top coat (Can of primer ;D) and its another step closer. Just to plate up the scuttle/sills and fit that battery box. I've all the electrics now (Cheers again Paul and WP). So I think I'll leave the welding until the weekend while I sort the wires and flip front mounting, drill and rivet job.
