Somewhere in the middle of moving into our new home, I dashed off to Worthing for a collection. Matilda was pressed into service with the roof rack to blast across central Sussex. I picked up a clubman flip front from Mike, web editor of Brighton MC. First stop was the jet wash. Wash and leather, The poor car has been our commuter wagon for the last five weeks and was coated. What a great day for it though. The sun really sparkled off the pearliest paint work from Matilda. Wow! did the weather bring out the classics, pasted a lovely white morris minor and saw tons on minis. Flasher had more use on Sunday than the last four months!! Stopped at the Halfords in Worthing to pick up a ratchet strap.. Ended up talking this nice lady for 30minutes after she pulled up in the car park, with the same model as my Balmoral, but in red. She'd rallied Coopers with her Eastbourne boyfriend a few moons ago She'd been to a few clubs but was scared off by geek/anoracks. A point to note.. Finally made it to mikes. Had to have a good chin wag with Mike over his clubman estate. The point of conversation was his garret turbo with a mega squirt. Exchanged a few good ideas for my Balmoral. Tried putting the flip inside the mini but the door would of had to be removed. So strapped to the roof it was. I kept my speed under 50 in fear to breaking the unsupported wings.. but as confidence grew picked up the pace. I got a lot of strange looks... So.... The Duckling is getting a face lift. Watch this space.

Took apart my 998auto engine to rob this 'kent cam' as it was advertised on ebay... supprise supprise... All orginal parts (I think). Cam is in good order but not a single identification mark. Can only guess its standard. I'd also been advised just a couple of bits had been robed from the auto box. So I thought I'd look inside. Accross the sump is like a fine gravel. The remains of a spectacular gearbox failure I think. Well at least the unleaded head will get put to good use. On to the other 998 , from Dave. ;D

Josie and I went up to her mum's land today. Thought it would be a good idea to get the duckling going. Hooked up the spare battery and turned the key. Started on the second attempt and ran perfectly. Nice. ;D Also ran it around the field a couple of times once it was warm. The drums had locked up all round, but a little horse play sorted that. Within the next couple of weeks I'll have it back at home and start cutting off the nasty metal. Then my intense welding course can begin. ;D

Dusted off the welder today. Had a spot of practice. Took me an hour to get the settings right and get back into the swing of things. Melted through the scrap panel, plugged it up etc. My welds managed to survive the hammer test in the end ;D Just need to find my little regulator so I can us the gas bottle. It makes a bit of a mess without the gas Will have to organize the garage at some point ;D

You don't need a four point.
The lav works on an Aircraft 'vac-lav' system borrowed from a Virgin Boeing 474 (Cheers Mr Mellor).
For normal use a light vac is applied, retaining the driver to the seat. Hence no four point required. A standard three point is advised as the system is awaiting CA approval.
During excessive braking, extras may be released by the driver, which can be deposited or distrbuted onto a fan at additional cost.
Price to you my friend just a POOund
