I'm Jon, aka flashthet (after my pet tortoise, nothing rude!), I'm in Robertsbridge, Married for 6 years, no children as yet, but we do have a 1 year old cocker spaniel. I have a 1990 BRG Mainstrem Cooper, which is a little tatty, but should be finished in the next year. Hope to meet up with you all soon (working allowing), and bore you with a million questions Jon

Thanks for the kind welcome. It's a small world Paul! We can chat mainstream til the cows come home!!
flash has gone back to the breader we got her from for a few years, she will be a mum fairly soon.
Thanks, Stephen. Yummy has gone through a few changes since the photo, but nothing major.
Next bits will be a fibreglass front end, roll cage and bucket seats. My wish list grows every time I rewrite it!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I just thought I would let you all know what I'm up to this summer. I am one half of 'The Mad Dog & Englishman' team, taking part in the Mongol rally 2008. We are making the journey from Hyde Park to the capital of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar, (about 8 to 10,000 miles), in a 1980 Austin Mini 850. Are we mad, yes, very much so! You can visit our website at mongolrally08.theadventurists.com/themaddogandenglishmanIf you're feeling very generous, then please feel free to click on the 'Will We Make It!' link, and sponsor us on our journey. You can even sponsor us £1, and vote 'Yes' or 'No' as to 'Will We Make It!' At the same time, it you have any spare parts that you think we may need for the journey, or have any advice or help you can offer, we will alway say a very big Yes please and thank you, and send you a postcard from the mountains of Mongolia! Our charities are listed on the website. Many Thanks in advance. Jon aka The Mad Dog

Massive respect for taking on the Mongol Rally!!! I really want to tackle that one. If you need a replacement Englishman, I'll be the first in line! I'll quite happily sponsor you chaps! I'll help if I can in the prep of the car or support. I'm great with a craw hammer ;D
